I/O of events containing a single instance of a simple object.

This was not met. A series of test programs leading up to
this goal were identified on 2/26/03. See the task list.

Support for classes with arrays and vectors.

This was not met. We will go directly to the full dictionary and
skip this intermediate step.

This is now available and is tried out in the context of POOL
integration.

Deferred until a clear use case is defined.
