Release 12.0.6 is a reconstruction production release.
Release 12.0.5.3 is equivalent to 12.0.6.1.
Also see the 12.0.5.2 issues and performance page
and 12.0.6.3 issues and performance page.
1. The Muonboy chi-square has a large tail. A "true" chi-square
was promised for this release.
Expect improvement in 13.0?
Only small improvement seen in first 13.0.10 AOD.
2. The Muonboy track summary is missing the CSC hits.
Expect use of default CSC clusters in 13.0 will fix this.
All hit info missing in first 13.0.10 AOD!
3. Both muid_all and staco_all show a peak in fakes at dR=0.
Plan to use shared muon hits to suppress this.
Existence of hit ID list not yet checked in first 13.0.10 AOD.
4. MuTag efficiency recovery around eta=1.2 (extrapolation to middle stations)
is not included.
Expect this will be added in 13.0.
Significant improvement seen in first 13.0.10 AOD.
5. Calorimeter tagged muons are not yet available.
Expect these will be added in 13.0.
Which algorithms?
Which containers?
Still missing in first 13.0.10 AOD?
6. Muon energy loss is not calculated for MuGirl (Muid inner) muons.
Expect this will be fixed in 13.0.
Still missing in first 13.0.10 AOD.
7. Track isolation parameters and return from isolation tool is
almost always 1 indicating that the muon track is not being removed.
Perhaps OK, but should be documented as such.
Same in first 13.0.10 AOD.
8. Tagged muons lack a list of associated muon segments or clusters.
These provide a measure of quality and means to remove overlaps,
especially with muons that do not have an inner detector track.
Any plans to add this for MuTag, MuGirl or calo algs?
Not yet checked in first 13.0.10 AOD.
9. Like to have full MuTag reco in production rather than restricting it
to muons hits not used by Muonboy. The existence of a MuTag track can then
be used as another quality measure for combined muons.
Can we add this for for 13.0?
Not checked but said to an option in 13.0.10. Presumablyn not in first 13.0.10 AOD.
10. There is confusion about the fit quality for combined muons. Staco includes
only the match chi-square while Muid includes the match and outer track contributions.
Neither includes the inner track. I believe all three should be included and
SelectedMuon makes this correction.
Staco includes all contributions in first 13.0.10 data.
No change for muid in first 13.0.10 data.
11. There is a 20 GeV mass shift in J/psi reconstruction for Staco but not Muid. See for example my results. Note most of the plots on this page are for Muid which does not have the problem. Or see Ginzburg talk at the 13sep07 common tracking meeting.
12. It appears that signal events are being repeated in pileup simulation. See the savannah bug report. This is different frpm the problem of repeated cavern events was discussed in the context of the muon group in late 2006 and early 2007.
