Muon reconstruction in release 12.0.4.2

January 22, 2007

Release 12.0.4.2 is a reconstruction pre-production release.

Also see the 12.0.4 and 12.0.5.1 issues and performance pages.

Issues

1. Muonboy fit chi-square has very strange values: around e-300 or e+150. I am forced to disable chi-square cut to avoid losing 30% of muons. Problem is seen in dataset calib0_csc11.005145.PythiaZmumu.recon.AOD.v12000402.
It is suspected that this arises because Muonboy uses static libraries and 12.0.4.2 is a patch that does not build from scratch.
Status in 12.0.5: Fixed in 12.0.5.1 (dla 025eb07).

Results

Efficiency and fakes are for pT>4 GeV/c, |eta|<2.8 and r0<2 cm.
Cuts are very loose.
