A typical use for the muon digit container is full reconstruction of the muon data. An algorithm reads the data in from raw format using the muon digit container(s). The algorithm loops over detector technologies and modules (e.g. chambers) within a technology. The data from each module is read in, calibrated and aligned and used to create clusters for track finding.
In the end the algorithm has accessed all the muon data.
