The digit class (which following ATLAS's unfortunate convention is XYZ_Digit, eg. MDT_Digit) needs to contain the detector identifier (index) and a pointer to the detector object built from the ID at creation time (cf. the recent email discussion among muon people). Plus it needs various methods accessing digit info in meaningful form (eg. drift time, drift radius), providing navigation to the corresponding detector, etc. eg. see the existing MDT_Digit (which has also a lot of detector-level info which should not be included in the new digit) http://atlassw1.phy.bnl.gov/lxr/source/atlas/MuonSpectrometer/MuonEvent/MuonEvent/MDT_Digit.h - Torre ------------------ David Adams (dladams@bnl.gov) wrote on Wednesday 2001/10/3 14:23: > I have put a first pass at the muon digit container design.
