Topics for this week

  • Space status - Armen
    • NET2 is still critical. SLACT2 is also very full. AGLT2 is next.
    • Hiro will check if USERDISK cleanup (cutoff 2-3 months) will help
    • Check PRODDISK - especially SLAC, AGLT2
  • Data deletions - Armen, Wensheng
    • BNL slow deletions - reason not understood. ~400 TB dark data. Deletion tool keeps crashing.
    • Tier 2's look Ok.
    • NET2 cleanup - Wensheng will schedule cleanup ~35 TB groupmc08* datasets this afternoon (Saul's estimate ~43TB)
    • Armen sees dark data at NET2 - Saul is looking into it
  • Slow transfers to Tier 2's - Hiro
    • NET2 and SWT2 MCDISK transfers put on hold (through blacklisting)
    • GPFS2 reconfiguration helped, rates should go up soon
  • Hot issues
    • Charles - delete-obsolete? Should other sites run it? Go ahead and try at Tier 2's! Armen - please study the dump of what was deleted.
  • AOB
    • Action item - Kaushik will follow up on topic of making all US sites consistent with long/short names in LFC
