Progress on testing LFC client in VDT (Marco)

  • And worker node client with LFC libraries
  • Fully functional now. Tested with both python API, simple scripts, and with dq2-client.
  • All previous bugs resolved, ready to be used.
  • There is a development worker node-client that points to the VDT test caches.

LFC worker-node client testbed at BNL (Xin)

  • Has development worker node-client installed an in use by Paul.

Pilot integration (Paul)

  • Pilot is basically ready. Using file info from LFC for size, checksum. At the moment using dccp at BNL.
  • Use LFC commands for registration, setting file size, etc - working fine. Got a test job to complete.
  • Now LFC down for Oracle maintenance.
  • Cleaning up code now.

LFC + MySQL server install (Charles)

  • Up and working, following LFC user's guide.
  • Creating /grid directory as root.
  • Will start populating with LRC data today.
  • Patrick will start setting up an LFC server at UTA today.

http interface for LFC (Jean-Philippe)

  • Charles sent link to existing LRC http code, reviewing methods used there. Will start testing with curl.

LRC migration (Hiro)

  • Has script for BNL migration, needs modification for Tier 2 sites.
