LFC Launch plan

  • See ChecklistForLaunchOfLFC
  • Question about the production proxy. For AGLT2, both atlas and usatlas production roles need to map to usatlas1. Need to test with Nurcan's script.
  • One concern is whether gplazma mappings get updated correctly - storage authz db.
  • John: will be creating a new account w/ atlas production role. condor-g submit can point to a specific proxy.
  • DQ2 change should be simple, will involve a ToA change.
  • AGLT2 readiness - LFC is up and running, but will switch to a vmware instance. Will need re-populate the database.

LFC installation status and remaining VDT packaging issues (Charles)

  • InstallLFConOSG
  • No issues - the basic install is fine. DONE
  • Migration script problems from Wei - waiting on diagnostic information.

LFC + MySQL bundle installation (Horst)

  • InstallLFConOSG
  • Installed on tier2-02 - Karthik will attempt to migrate today.

Pilot integration (Paul)

  • last meeting (follow-up):
    • Pilot is basically ready. Using file info from LFC for size, checksum. At the moment using dccp at BNL.
    • Use LFC commands for registration, setting file size, etc - working fine. Got a test job to complete.
    • Now LFC down for Oracle maintenance.
    • Cleaning up code now.
    • Believe this work is complete now. BNL_ATLAS_Test being used. Will scale up a bit.
  • There are two copytools - one for put, one for get. Need to see this work at AGLT2 in advance of the LFC migration.
  • For SWT2, using a script on top of xrdcp.
  • Need a request to Tadashi to modify Panda to write : MCTAPE and MCDISK; DATADISK, DATATAPE.
  • Need to give Paul the LFC host, and location of worker node client.
  • Pilot wrapper scripts will need to be updated.

http interface for LFC (Jean-Philippe)

LFC-based data management tools (Patrick, Charles)

  • Using lfc clients and python API.
  • site-integrity check script is working. The official version will work once all sites have migrated to LFC.
  • lcg-del working at BNL. Deletes both catalog entries and the file itself.
  • cleanse.py - still to do.
  • At UC, will use pool-cleaner tool (dCache)
