Topics for this week

  • Storage status, central deletion - Armen
    • Ok overall.
    • Need to do some PRODDISK cleanup, additions.
      • Need to increase PRODDISK size in proportion to number of added CPU's. Also, lot more high IO jobs recently.
      • Rob - we need recommended size. Kaushik - yes, ADC needs to come up with a number per 1000 cores. Guess 30-40 TB per 1000 cores?
      • In the meantime, run more frequent cleanup's.
    • Still errors at NET2 during deletions. Also, about 50TB srm DATADISK reporting error.
    • WT2 and NET2 needs to add more space to GROUPDISK.
    • NERSC SCRATCHDISK blacklisting issue - followup offline.
  • USERDISK cleanup - Hiro
    • Emails going out next week.
  • BNL DATADISK cleanup status - Armen
    • Had crises during holidays. Now ok with >450 TB.
    • Kaushik - ADC should be responsible in managing space. DATADISK belongs to ATLAS. Site should not get urgent messages during holidays to add more space because it is emergency. BNL is well over pledge. A 5-6 TB partition should never get down to 100 TB free space!
    • Armen - will ask deletion service to give higher priority to DATADISK (than USERDISK).
  • Hot issues
    • Need urgent upgrade of NET2 gatekeeper, to fix transfer timeout errors.
  • AOB
    • Hiro - LOCALGROUPDISK monitoring is now up-todate and running.
