Background

As we discussed yesterday, we want to first establish proper setup and use of ATLASDATADISK at all sites with testing by DQ2 test subscriptions by Hiro.

I suppose, ATLASGRP and ATLASENDUSER could be established likewise - thereby at least making all SE's available to physics groups and end users via DQ2.

For ATLASMCDISK, principally used by production by Panda Mover and Pilot site mover utilities, we have integration issues (at the sites) and more software development needed in pilot3. It would be good if people can evaluate the LCG-Utils package from the OSG storage group in advance of the meeting, since this has lcg-cp which both Paul and Tadashi have indicated they use in various parts of Panda:

Panda Mover

• uses lcg_cp. Needs space tokens.

What about the DQ2 user tools?

• Uses lcg-cp. But for accessing sites outside the US, there is a dependency in LFC - may not be in LCG-Utils.

srmcp?

• Are there problems using this client? Patrick reporting problems with this tool on bestman-xrootd sites. srm-copy cannot do a get through the NAT. Problems with routing within the cluster.
• What about the java footprint issue?
• Patrick also concerned with supporting UTD Tier 3 through NAT.

ATLASDATADISK tests

• Hiro - nothing is required at the site after they have setup the space tokens.
• AOD's and ntuples should go to ATLASDATADISK
• SLAC - working
• BU - latest bestman installed. Need to change ToA, and inform Pedro. Space tokens ignored on the filesystem Need to update ToA and update LRC. Need to make a new site for ATLASDATADISK. New entries in ToA. Don't need to migrate data from the old BU_DDM.
• UC - setting up ATLASDATADISK now.
• UTA - ready to run SRM on CPB cluster; all software installed, just need to install ToA. Analysis jobs should use ENDUSER space. How to configure the pilot to direct user data to this specific space.

Misc

• There will also need to be changes to the LRC code to specify the default storage location.
