Topics for this week

  • Migration to DATADISK - Armen
    • MCDISK's are gone from Tier 2's. BNL migration is ongoing.
    • Tier 2's can completely purge MCDISK area from storage - it is no longer in ToA.
    • Sites will keep a summary of what they have deleted (from storage and LFC), just for bookkeeping (and understanding why we have dark data).
  • Disk cleanup - Armen, Wensheng
    • Need to drastically reduce amount of data pre-placed at T1/T2 sites.
    • Working on SWT2 and AGLT2 DATADISK cleanup.
    • Plan to do another USERDISK cleanup soon.
    • Old GROUPDISK is being cleaned.
  • Hot issues
  • AOB
    • Modified script from Charles for PRODDISK _dis cleanup
    • Flat file for space reporting for Bestman sites - Patrick, Wei will follow up
    • Need detailed storage system level information, more than what srm provides (similar to what MWT2 has implemented) - Charles, Armen
    • Patrick - trying Bestman 2 at UTA_SWT2 cluster this week (installed on test machine)
    • Hiro - new SS will be deployed at BNL in February (maybe this week)
    • Hiro - will set up monitor for LOCALGROUPDISK
