Topics for this week

  • Space status at BNL - Armen
    • Total 4.5 PB. (DQ2 monitors will report 10% higher because they use 1000 conversion factor, instead of 1024). 1050 TB free, 540 TB unassigned.
    • Increase GROUPDISK allocation? During BNL meeting last week, more use cases for GROUPDISK. Re-evaluate next month if we need to add more.
  • Space status at Tier 2's
    • MWT2? New storage powered up. 1.2 PB total now. Saw some RAID issues, so not allocated to space tokens yet. Tests ongoing - looks OK the past couple of days. Will start allocations soon.
    • NET2 - started cleanup based on popularity. Procedure agreed to with ADC. Wensheng schedules central deletion with Savannah notification to DDM. More cleanup this week.
    • Armen will initiate cleanup of jamborree datasets today from all sites - about 4TB at each site.
  • SS migration status - Hiro
    • NET2 done? Yes - all sites migrated.
    • Problem found at SWT2 with user analysis jobs - need to use long form? Otherwise direct access does not work.
    • DQ2 modified this morning to use full path in the future.
    • Patrick and Wei will fix records in LFC.
  • Hot issues
    • Some deletions not taking place on T2 MCDISK - Charles following up. Resolved by Cedric - fixed archive bit.
  • AOB
    • Any follow-ups from BNL meeting last week?
    • Armen - we now get deletion logs from DQ2. This can be used to clean HPSS.
