LFC launch at UC
LFC launch at IU
- Status/news
- Found bug in pilot
BU
- Had been migrating to PRODDISK. Wanted to complete this before the switch.
- Question of whether to use lcg-cp. John: use simple "cp", since space token disks are mounted.
- Require an update to the pilot? Will require development. Try first with lcg-cp.
- Last time - troubleshooting left off with a submit error, will try again.
- All ready to switch to LFC.
UTA
- Ready to get started.
- Have been busy getting space tokens straight. Trying to use USERDISK today.
- Later this afternoon will start.
OU
- No major updates - data migration a few times, working.
- Plan on next week when Horst return.
LFC-based data management tools (Patrick, Charles)
- last week
- Integrity check needs to be modified for GPFS back ends.
- Deletion tools require BDII - but we've not accepted this as accepted service in US ATLAS, so we'll need to program around it. Charles will be in contact with Stephane.
Pilot progress
- Can use space tokens with xrootd. Next release, tomorrow. Will use at UTA.
- More testing jobs sent to IU.
Space reporting
- Old http interface to LRC also reports space, which the pilot uses.
- Needs to keep running to report space usage, for the moment; move
URL's in the Catalog
* Discussing issue of full URLs in the catalog. Easier to service.
* However, how to avoid truncation when registering files.
lcg-rf registers the short version. Paul is using lfc-createg, lfc-addreplica.
* Paul will send example - work with Marco to get full URL in the catalog
