Installation/setup nuts and bolts

Hi Torre,

      During the meeting, I'd like to bring up a few points that might 
go under a heading "Installation/setup Nuts and Bolts."  Mainly:

   o CMT->RPM->Pacman (mainly Jason)
   o Pacman -> MDS (mainly Pat Mcguigan and Dantong)
   o Cache manager conventions (the current caches are a bit 
disorganized in this respect, I feel)
   o Pacman schedule of upgrades (Alain Roy and Saul)
   o Using caches to help organize preparation for demos and 
interoperability tests (Saul)
           [ The point I want to make here is that there is a strong 
             tendency when making a demos and interoperatbility tests to
             grab control of everything and make it entirely self 
             contained.  The problem with this is that demos then don't work
             together and will go stale rapidly as software advances. 
             On the other hand, if we identify making a demo or
             interoperability test with making a new cache, we can 
             reliably make demos that will work together and last
             longer.  ]

Kaushik, Jason and I are also going to have a little get together to go 
over some improvements to the current setup.
