The package atlasapps has been updated to enable/require users to specify the type of data they want saved (ESD, AOD, NTUP, HIST, ...) and the name of the file containing this data. This package is used by the ADA transformations atlasopt, aodhisto, atlasdev and atlasdev-src and the task interfaces for all those packages have changed accordingly. See the atlas_job_options task interface page at

http://www.usatlas.bnl.gov/ADA/dels/trans/task_interfaces/atlas_job_options.html

for more details.

These applications and the demo tasks in the ADA catalogs have been updated. Users who define their own tasks will need to add the file output_content to their task definitions. If you prefer to use the the old applications (and thus the previous version of atlas apps), then append "-jun05" to your application name. For example, use atlasdev-jun05 in place of atlasdev.

Sites providing analysis services will need to install the new version of atlasapps as atlasapps-1.10.

The motivation for this change is to make it easier to support transformations that generate event data.

Thanks to Tadashi for his continued support of the atlasapps package. If you have questions or problems, please let him or me know.
